Spring 2014 Pastel Nail Trend

One of the big nail trends for this spring includes a range of colors from pastels to white. I'm going to go through my current nail polish collection to give you an idea of some of the colors that I love that are on point with this trend.

Colors used going around from left to right are: Essie's Mint Candy Apple, Formula X for Sephora in Illustrious, Sally Hensen Smooth and Perfect in 06 Air, Sally Hensen complete salon manicure in Ion, Maybelline Color Show in Green with Envy (it looks lighter in person my camera did not like it today), Essie Sand Tropez, Essie Limo Scene, Essie A Crewed Interest, Essie Van D'Go, Sally Hensen Smooth and Perfect in 05 Whisper.

Pastel, neutral, and white does not need to be boring! Some on trend additions include silver stripes, jewel embellishments, and half moon manicures!

I'm going to take this moment to talk about the standout formula in the group, Formula X from Sephora. This line of nail polish was released in Sephora last year and they are great! The formula is highly pigmented with smooth, even application. When worn with top and bottom coat i only have minor chipping a week later. Definitely check out this line from Sephora, they have LOADS of colors ranging from your every day neutrals to some pretty crazy textures, top coats, and a full line of manicure essentials.
