Marc Jacobs Mascara Review

Left before, Right after (ignore my horrible eyebrows and lack of proper concealing its been a busy day)

I used some points at Sephora to get a sample size of the Marc Jacobs Lash Lifter Gel Volume Mascara and gave it a try this week while I have been sitting at home with family and not really doing my makeup much. I love the packaging of all of the Marc Jacobs makeup and this is no exception. For the cost of this mascara I would want a little more then just a "your lashes but better" look. It defines the lashes and gives you a bit more length and volume without anything too dramatic.

The formula is a very wet, very black gel. It takes longer than most of my mascaras to dry. I found that it provides very inconsistent application, some days I can get by with one or two quick coats and other days it takes 3-4 and it still isn't looking like it did the day before. It doesn't do anything drastic to the lashes so if you aren't a fan of how your lashes are naturally and  you are looking for more enhancement I would skip this mascara.

Plus side is it doesn't clump and when wearing throughout the day it hasn't flaked. It is easy to wash off with makeup remover and actually comes off in little stringy pieces. It's great for a little extra touch to your lashes for a "no makeup" more natural look but there are tons out there that do the same thing with a nicer price tag. I will use this sample up but that's about it.If you want you can pick it up at Sephora for $26.
